I want to come back as my pampered mutt Oscar. He gets to sleep all day, never pays a penny towards the mortgage, gets fed and watered, enjoys nice walks on the beach without having to contribute to the running of the car that takes him there (although not at the moment as I'm banned - before anyone rings the Police).

He doesn't have to tidy up after himself (abit like some Housemates I've shared with), and leaves his fur all over my pillows without a care in the world about the fact that I have to wake up with a mouthful of it each morning!

He has my undivided love and attention when I get home from work, and gets away with shitting on the carpet when he's not feeling well. All-in-all a life of bliss and a stress-free existence.

If reincarnation does exist (which I don't believe as I'm an atheist), then surely I would have remembered other past lives I've had.

I don't have any memories prior to 1987, so therefore I believe reincarnation, heaven, hell, the holy ghost and man landing on the moon to be complete bollocks.

We only exist as we do right now as a product of millions of years of evolution and natural selection. Nothing to do with magic gardens, talking snakes and some scruffy and illegitimate Jew being nailed to a cross.

We're just a bunch of cleverly developed mass of blood, guts, nerves, neurons, bones and other bits of flesh. Just because we've developed (through evolution) more intelligence than other mammals on the planet, doesn't mean that we're somehow special and watched over by some divine deity.

Christians still believe that the whole Earth is only 4,000 years old. The theory that a God created humans in some sudden coruscation just a few thousand years ago is ludicrous. In the grand scheme of things, humanity is still very primitive. We haven't moved on a huge deal since the days of cavemen. We're still knocking the shit out of each other; whether it be in expensive international wars or jabbing knives into each other on street corners. Unfortunately, the 'growing up' process for humanity is still a long way off. If we manage not to obliterate ourselves whether with bombs or genetics, then maybe humans can have a more purposeful existence in the vast expanse of this universe.

Not all of them - some believe the text seen in the modern Bible is in fact a sort of simplified version for the audience of the time, or that the 'days' mentioned therein are symbolic representations of thousands or millions of years.
