User32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\shell32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows System DLL's. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
I'm sure a lot of people have had a similar message in the past. So can you help?

I often get it when installing or running some program. Not common programs like Messenger, programs like Nvu and Jahshaka. Not that I have any opinion on them, as I haven't used them.

I've Googled it, and visited numerous threads, and the Microsoft page on the subject, but I cannot seem to fix it. It seems to be a different message to the one located on the Microsoft page.

I'm on Windows XP. Please could you offer some advice, as I'm unsure what to do.

Thanks,
Jovis

If you're using Flyakite OSX on Windows XP, you're going to get that message.

I don't know whether you are, but the remedy is simply to reinstate the original DLL's.

Try a System Restore. If that fails, then is the time to panic.

I see to a lot of PCs in my line of work and this is what I generally find to be the best course of action with "DLL Hell".

Cheers, that worked. Apologies for only replying just now, but it's the first opportunity I've had to try it.

What's your line of work? I'm going with "Judge".

Well there are lots of PCs in JobCentre offices, but I think the staff get annoyed if those signing-on for JSA try to mess around with them.

Perhaps JM is doing a course as part of his retraining seeing as DJ is now a lost cause as a career path.
