Hey all, I know theres a few web savvy peeps here, I'm after a script/code/thing that will allow me to do the following.

I'd like to have an online backup of various bits and bobs of work etc. I have the web space for this but I would like to allow others access to it that I see fit, but also for them to be able to contribute and add files of their own. Other than ftp-ing is there a web based solution that could do this? Ideally something that catalogues whatever uploaded to that it's searchable etc and would give me options to display the most recently up/downloaded file etc?

I know what I want in my head but I can't think of a word for it that I can google...

You need a PHP based solution - that should do the trick; look for things like 'File Management' etc. Try Hotscripts.com in their PHP (server side scripting) section.

Note that your web host must support PHP. But most paid-for web hosts do.

Funnily enough I'd just been on there, but there are quite a few it seems to choose from, a good mix of free and commercial ones too. I don't suppose there are any you would recommend?
