Reading Time magazine today there is an article about Joost. Bringing TV to the internet. By the summer you will be able to download the joost software then use it to watch channel from Lime a lifestyle channel to National geographic and potentially thousands more. The guys behind it are the same guys who bought us Skype and Kazaa.

Some of those who've had an early look reckon it could make Youtube, Google video and Apple Tv look very 1988.

I hadn't heard of Joost until now but apparently it offers around 50 channels at the moment and it will soon have hundreds and eventually thousands of channels to choose from.

And better still it will be free. There will be about 3mins of ads every hour the drawback of it though is it seems that many of the programmes will be repeats.

It's not bad. I've been a beta tester for the Mac version (I have invites available for hard cash...), or Miss Hellfire :-)

I'm still waiting to see something on there that interests me - I think if a news bulletin went up on there I'd be more likely to "tune in" daily.
