DVD-RW

A while ago, I (successfully) transferred Sky+'d programmes that I recorded onto Panasonic DVD-RW discs to my PC, by ripping the disc and getting the videos.
I now have a new(ish) Toshiba recorder. My RW discs wouldn't work on the player, but this pack of Verbatim's did. However, my PC now displays the message:
Windows cannot read from this disc. The disc might be corrupt, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows.
I'm now stuck with Panasonic discs that my only my PC reads, and Verbatim's that only my DVD Recorder reads. Can anyone give me a bit of help?
Thanks
