Blocking ads with Firefox

I was waiting for TV Forum to load and saw that it was "page2.googlesyndication.com" that was holding things up.

I've added googlesyndication.com (as typed) to the block exceptions in my "load images automatically" settings, and although the page didn't load any faster, I no longer see the banner ads on TVF.

Is that all there is to blocking ads or do I need to do something else.

Muchos muchos gracias.

EDIT: There must be something more - I can still see ads for Hoodia.

Again with the muchos.

Get the "adblock plus" extension. It's awesome, I've not seen ads in years, but you can also allow sites to let things though, so if there is a page that doesnt load because of it just add it to the allowed list and the problem is solved, but I've never had to turn it off.

Yeah, I can agree with Bail, I have found no problems with it.

You can set it to 'remove' the ads or 'hide' them.
