Is there a way to make a video loop, but so that it has a fade effect, so that it fades into itself?

When you insert a video into a Powerpoint presentation, it always stops very abruptly at the end. This is especially annoying if you want to loop the video. I was just wondering if there was a fade effect to make the video loop into itself seemlessly.

Whilst I haven't bothered to actually go into Powerpoint before saying the following, there's still a chance it's true...
Powerpoint might be using hardware overlay to draw your video to the screen. This hands the video off to your graphics card. If so, it won't be able to do shtuff like fades in real time since the video is essentially superimposed by hardware in a region of the screen which is off-black (16,0,16 IIRC)
I apologise for that really awful explanation. In summary, if Powerpoint is using hardware overlays, what are essentially post effects are not very do-able.

If you do the rehearse thing, and then use your slide transition of "fade to black" Rehearse it and play the whole video over then fade it out to end - then loop the presnetation
