Removing the small of vomit from a carpet

Say for example, hypothetically speaking, that I was to be extremely silly and get so drunk on Saturday night that I was unable to make it from my bed to my toilet and was sick all over the carpet in my room...
How would I remove the smell?
I've been scrubbing it with the Vanish carpet moose and that's removed the stain, febrese did fuck all, and at the moment the bicarb of soda isn't working either.
I want a floor back. How do I get rid of the stench of it?

i think you will need an enzyme based cleaner for this and you will need to make sure you take the carpet up and clean it from the under-lay or floorboards etc as this is quite often where the smell persists.

HI. I'M BARRY SCOTT.
Your vomit has soaked through the carpet... I'd clean it again with hot soapy water (try the Vanish OxyClean - it's enzyme based I think) and then your vanish mouse and then when it's dry get some Neutradol powder and cover the area with a big pile of it. And leave it for ages. Days maybe before hoovering it up. See, if you lived closer I'd be round with my Vax Wet'n'dry and Steamy thingy to fix it for you.
Then I'd go to Poundstretcher and buy a basin to keep by your bed so it doesn't happen again.

Surely it's worth all the downsides?

To this day I associate the smell of Febreeze with the smell of sick. Moral of the story: use a product you won't come into contact with much in the future.

I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on any benefits.

Zoflora disinfectant is good for that reason. Its a once in a blue moon product but there are 4 scents to keep your nose from getting the smell stuck in it.

By the way, is it really only a bijou amount of vomit, as in the title, or are you worried by the odour?

Is there any upside?
