My Pc is on its last legs - and its time to get a new one.
Any recomendations on Base units only?
I am looking to do quite a bit of video editiing... and have a limit of about £1200. Base unit only - dont need any OS (will install my own).
Have seen PC's with 4gb of ram - not sure I would need this much but is tempting..

while we're on it, I have to get my auntie a replacement for her old 98SE thing.
She really doesn't do anything aside office stuff and internet but doesn't want tat.
Another requirement is a nice large TFT screen.

Build your own. You'll get far more for your money. I recommend the Antec P180 case, its got lots of HD space and is very quiet. Also go for a 2 core CPU if you can.

Slightly off topic, but I bought the Currys Compaq laptop that as advertised for £449. Not the highest spec in the world but I reckon it's a good deal for the price.
Oh, and thanks for the card Dave.
