So what was the strangest thing you got?

I know I must be hard to buy for. But my best mate bought me a temperature-controlled, rechargeable butter dish, which keeps your butter just at the right temperature for spreading. To be frank, I don't know how I've got by without one up to now.

Yes, I know. Should you want one, you can get one for a bargain price at Lakeland. But hurry, they won't be ordering any more when their stocks run out. I wonder why? Surely everyone would want one.

My auntie bought me a festive egg-cup, spoon and santa hat set.

Yes, the santa hat goes on the egg. Not sure how useful it is as surely I'd have eaten the egg if it's in a cup?!

In a last minute panic, mother revealed that she wouldn't have time to buy me any clothes for Christmas and asked if there was anything I fancied from QVC.

As it happened, I really needed some pots and pans, so I got a lovely selection of stainless steel cookware.

She also managed to find one of those roll-up keyboards (as seen in a fab Star Trek TNG episode).

That was unusual, and rather fun.

Two keys (including middle C) don't make a sound when you press them, so she said she has the receipt to return it.

Its a moot point, because I don't play the keyboard!

A mute point, surely?

About 5 Christmasses ago, I was given a rainstick, which the giver had mistaken in a shop for a Lamp.

I think i still have it somewhere, I use it to annoy the Dog!
