Milk

Hmm, I'm going to have another go at a debate/discussion - I hope that it has a better response than the fluoridation one.
I've decided to stop having milk, finally for ethical reasons. Though I am too weak to give up milk chocolate.
For instance did you know that milk contains pus?! That is right, stomata cells, about a few drops of pus with every glass.
Many dispute mik's nutritional value aswell.
Anyway, the fact that cows have been over-worked so much that they get
mastitis is not good, in my opinion, let alone the gross-ness.

As the son of a dairy farmer I may be rather bias, although whilst googling I found
this which suggests milk reduces the risk of bowel cancer. It also reduces the "incidence of tooth decay"
Can't beat a nice milky cup of tea.

well it might what with this one being readable unlike the other mess.
I like milk. It's yummy.
However I have a particular liking for those little pots of UHT milk they give you in cafes, they're just FAB to chug.

I think full fat milk is horrible. I rarely have milk because I drink black coffee, but whenever I do have milk on cereal or something, it's skimmed.

That's exactly it. A few drops of pus
diluted down into one glass of milk. A few dead neutrophils in a protein juice. And a few other cow blood products in on top of that. Nothing the average non-compromised immune system wont be able to take care of.

If you were in a canteen, and you saw a waitress with a cut, and then when she served you a milkshake, a plaster over a cut opens, and a bit of pus falls into the drink, would you drink it?
I wouldn't.
Though, pus is just disgusting, the real arguments put forward by some, are that milk is not only not good for you, but bad for you.
I found an article on MSN about this:
Milk: is it good or bad for us? We weigh up the evidence for and against - MSN Health UK.

Rob, if you're willing to have cow pus by drinking a milkshake, why not go the full way and have waitress pus as well?

Ah yes, but the cow's pus has been pasteurised. Pasteurisation is meant to kill those nasty things that try to make you ill - called "germs". Waitress pus is not pasteurised, and may still contain nasty germs.

I was reading this website about milk being bad, and there was a comments section at the bottom of the article. The article started with a cartoon about drinking milk is as stupid as drinking it straight out of the udder. His point was that milk is for infants, and nothing else. A great cocktail specially containing the right stuff to make an infant grow quickly. Drinking cow's infant formula is stupid. He also said, I think, how that the idea of drinking your Mum's milk over your cornflakes is disgusting, so why is it acceptable to pour
another animal's milk over your cornflakes?
Interestingly though . . ., in the comments section below, almost unaniminously all of the readers
disagreed with him.
They reckoned that cow's milk was great, but, the process that goes on in the industry ruins it. They made comments at the bottom about how milk contains enzymes (I think that is the right word) that isn't in the digestive system normally, that help digest the large amounts of calcium, and they said about how the enzymes are lost during Pasteurisation, standardisation, &c. One comment said that normal milk is okay, and drinkable, but Pasteurised &c. milk is dead, and looses all of its health effects. Loads of the people said how they drank milk from their own cow, and how much healthier they were.
This (different) web site believes in the 'real milk' idea:
web site.
Before I give the U.R.L. to the other web site, I would also like to point out that the first web site I was talking about (with the cartoon) sells an awful lot amount of books and portable document format files, not that I'm saying that web sites like that are cons, nor that this one is, but this one does have a way of making money from the web site,
web page with cartoon.
P.S.: Fiftieth post!
