Hello!

How are you all, then? Hope you're good.

It's been about 6 months since Gavin and I agreed for my 'Jamez' character to be put to sleep. Not before time either, I think.

I've been occasionally popping back to Metropol to read about the latest developments, but it seems quite a few others have followed in my wake and stopped posting on here too, which is a bit of a shame - but I can understand why.

I saw James Martin's ridiculous spamming of the forum with vile racist jokes. He wouldn't have done that over on Media UK. I also notice that he's since been banned. Probably for the best.

Anyway, I just thought I'd pop back and say hello! If Gavin decides to remove this thread, then that's cool. Just wanted to say hello, really!

I've been reluctant to say this publicly, but if you force my hand then so be it.

We didn't "agree" on "putting Jamez to sleep". You were banned, plain and simple.

I really didn't want to do it. I thought we had respect for each other.

However - even after apologising for your actions in private message, you came back on to the forum suggesting that you were not in the wrong and had been treated unfairly. Can you imagine how that came across to me?

No one has "followed in your wake". We have a reasonably large and happy membership here. This site isn't, and never has been, about any one particular member.

The last 4 posts from "manicmonday" resolve to proxy IP servers, which show that you have taken efforts not to be detected.

James Martin has been banned permanently, and I'm afraid that goes for you too. I would much rather have had you around, but you left me no choice.

If I allow you back here then no doubt Mr Martin will assume that what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I'm sorry, but I can't do that. And according to several messages in my inbox this morning, other members would prefer me not to.

Sorry, is this actually Jamez or just an impersonator?

You can tell by writing style, and I would bet good money on it not being him.

What is it with this place?
In the short time i've been here, people have said some real hatefull stuff about the place and some members and been banned and rightly so IMO. If it's that bad here why do they try so hard to come back?

They must be desperate if they go as far as trying to cover their tracks and from Gavin, of all people. Gavs so sharp he'll cut himself oneday.

Weird isn't it. They accuse the members of Metropol of having "No life", denounce the moderation, and all sorts of other very nasty things; yet, after all that, they still insist on coming back under pseudonyms and trying to post here again. It makes you question the mental stability of these people.

Do these poor, dejected souls really have nowhere else to go than a forum full of people who they hate, and who hate them?

Incidentally, I'm glad about this new hard-line approach to permenant bannings, where 'permenant' means 'permenant'.
