from sky to freeview and i hate it. The channels are all muddled up. It's gonna taake me ages to learn the new chnl numbers. i'm watching a bit of eveything at the moment.
I feel like a man with all this channel hopping.

i find that with freeview too - couldn't you just have stayed with freesat instead? i assume you've still got the dish and box?

I've still got everything but silly mr. Hellfire has dismantled it, i'm not very good at setting it back up. The only reason we got freeview is because he got the box from some geezer he knows.
I suppose i could have freeview downstairs and freesat upstairs.

You hand Mr Hellfire too much control, missy.
Get him to put it back the way it was, or better yet: do it yourself. You'll suss it out - it's not complicated.
Freesat is better than freeview. I wish I had it.

I didn't hand him any control over this. He just done it one night when i was in the land of nod. It was only when i got home from work the following day that i realised he'd fucked about with the tv. I left a right shitty message on his answerphone. When he got home he said " what you whinging about you don't watch tv much you're always on the pootah or got the sodding headphones on listening to music" he has a point but that's irrelevant.
I''ve got all these cables lying about for sky i don't know where to plug them into the TV. There is loads of ports at the back of the tv. I've no instructions either. I'm confused.

The digibox instructions should cover it all, complete with a diagram

That's my girl
Tell us the make and model, and someone here will give you the ABC.

The destructions to tv and digibox are lurking somewhere in the house but i've forgotten where i put them. I'm so disorganised at home ( all my organisational skills go into my business). The tv is a big screen Toshiba, it says something about being a 100hz frame scan tv on the front and the digi box is an Amstrad.

The one thing I don't like about Freesat is that there are channels you get on Freeview that you don't recieve on Freesat. Examples being E4, More4, The Hits and TMF.

I DID IT! ALL BY MYSELF WOO!!!!!
That has got to be worthy of some applause!
And what am i doing right now? Listening to my cds through the headphones, with sky news on telly, while trying to fathom some Virginia Woolfe literature.

Well done Miss Hellfire!
I did the same on returning from Germany. I rang Sky and they wanted £50 for the privilege of putting my dish back up - but after moaning to the Technical Department they simply said:
"if the bracket's still there on the wall, stick the dish back up and point it in the same direction as your neighbours' dishes, then fiddle around until you get the signal OK"
Hey presto - Sky TV again. I did consider marketing my new found skills as an Installation Engineer at the time
