There was a bit in Media Guardian the other day about it...

Sony today unveiled its eagerly-anticipated TV ad featuring 70,000 litres of paint exploding on a disused council block in Glasgow.

The ad, created by Fallon, required 1,700 detonators, 455 mortars, 622 bottle bombs, 65 camera positions and a crew of 200 people.

I know some people involved in the fit-up for the Glasgow flats.

Actually, those abandoned blocks have seen more use since they were emptied than they ever did housing Glaswiegans.

We were involved in a show there last year where actors played scenes in various apartments, while cameramen absailed down the building with cameras bolted to their safety helmets.

True story.

Oh right, if I were to chuck a load of paint around in public, I'd be done for vandalism, but if Sony do it, it's alright? Just goes to show, if you've got money you can always buy your way out of trouble.

I'm sure they went through most of the official channels that I don't when I fling paint from towers.

MediaGuardian wrote:The advertising watchdog has decided against launching an investigation into Sony's new, explosive "paint" TV ad, despite complaints that it is inappropriate in "today's climate of terror".

The Advertising Standards Authority received four complaints from members of the public that the ad was "insensitive" and in "poor taste" given the current climate of terrorist threats.

Shouldn't the phrase "members of the public" be spelled "muppets"?
