Why do people...

...put several billion question marks at the end of a sentence, like this?????????????????

It just gets me very irritated and proves nothing. A question is no more or less valid with twenty question marks. I can understand the way people, like myself, put ?!? to emphasise confusion, but not loads of question marks.

Much worse is when people put question marks at the end of a sentence which is not a question.

Miscellaneous musing number 3,582.

¿Do the Spanish always put the same number of inverted question marks at the front of a question as they put normal ones at the end?

Please stop. It's very 'irritating'.
