Should shops stock big clothes for the clinically obese?

I'm watching an interesting documentary about the "issues" that fat people have.
They are currently whining that shops don't stock clothes for women above size 16.
Should shops not be congratulated for encouraging health in women (and men)?
I think so.

I know that this will encourage insults, but I do feel that it is unfair for those who are obese or overweight and they are unable to loose the weight. Be it a lack of willpower, or Genetic, or even someone suffering from a condition such as diabetes.

Well, I have size 14 feet and hardly anywhere stocks shoes in my size. Seeing as I cannot control this at all, then surely I'm being discriminated against in the same way?

Well I dont think offering shoes/trainers at larger sizes is a bad thing at all.

As a little aside, I was utterly impressed by the clothes at Asda Wallmart. My first trip to Asda in years. "George", I'm told.
I picked up a really nice suit and shirt for £60. Ludicrously cheap, and looks better on than my last one which was over £200.
And a lovely top which cleverly looks like 2 layered tops. £8.
Most satisfying shop I've had in ages.
PS: Does that make me a pikey, and more to the point, am I bovvered?

i think asda has some really nice clothes - i've had a number of fairly expensive suites over the years from next and river island - the next one was around £250 and all threads started coming apart from it within 6 months, the inside pocket ripped (even though i don't really use it) etc etc, after maybe five dry cleans (it was dry clean only) the edges around the colar started to change from a black to a weird grey.
the last suite i brought for work was indeed from asda and although it is machine washable it's kept looking good.
and some of the ties they do on a good day are fab too - great value for £3 - i can't ever imagine spending £70 for a silk tie from john lewis or somewhere like that (although many people do), that's like over a weeks worth of food for us!
