Bloody hell!

I've never seen a rectangular, three pinned leprechaun.

Can you bring one back for me, please?

Yup, same sockets, everything should be fine phone charger-wise. I'm not very familiar with Cork city, because travelling through it has never particularly made me want to stop. Dublin and Galway would probably be better tourist destinations. I'll admit I know very little about the place though, maybe it's got hidden qualities. The rest of Cork, on the other hand, is lovely. Not as full of fat Americans as neighbouring Kerry, but very picturesque (in places) nonetheless.

If it's not too far off your beaten track, I'd reccomend the Beara peninsula, Castletownbere in particular. It's a nice harbour town, if that's what you're into. It may be dying down slightly by now though. Pete McCarthy wrote about it in his book, McCarthy's Bar. I know little else about Cork, but noone has replied so far, so I thought I might as well. Hope someone else can be of more help to you.

Ah, the crazy golf course :). It's crazy mostly in that it's set in an old reservoir in the middle of a real golf course, and that I've never actually seen anyone else play it. It's good though, just underrated by the locals. You have to go upstairs to the pub to get clubs, by the way. That one took us a while to figure out.
