You know i was spending some time thinking about all this sports and drug testing malarky. If musicians were drug tested and banned there would hardly be any music.

Yes, miss h, that one reminds me of my childhood too. I am 32 - are you around my age?

Other music would be "Bright Eyes" from the deer film - can't remember its name right now.

And "Vienna" by Ultravox, fantastic song.

Yeah JB i'm 35. The other one that reminds me of my childhood is Frankie goes to Hollywood - Relax... I was having a scrap with some lad in the classroom when i first heard that on the radio or someones stereo ( ghetto blaster hahahah) .

I still love Frankie Goes To Hollywood - for my money, "Two Tribes" was one of the best pop songs of all time. To me, it hasn't dated that much.

My mum was a big ABBA fan at the time so "Thank You For The Music" reminds me of primary school. It's surprising I didn't turn out as a gay!

Hehehe.. My mum loved Freddie mercury, she had posters of him every where. I'd go round sticking drawing pins in his arse lol Abba featured a bit in my youth but i've got to say i was also rather fond of Kate Bush.

Frankie goes to Hollywood are timeless.

Freddie Mercury is my ultimate music hero - he would have turned 60 on September 5th this year.

Kate Bush used to scare me in the "Wuthering Heights" video.

another wonderful song by mike batt (who also did watership down) is 'better than a dream' from itv's the dreamstone. i don't know if any of you remember it, but it was a fantastic cartoon, i don't think there has been anything like it since. kids tv today is all grown men in furry suits.
