Tell us about your nocturnal rituals...
Me? I tend to massage my ego by checking to see what various fora are saying about me. Then I can sleep soundly all Night long knowing I'm not forgotten.

i have to make sure certain things are turned off/locked before i go to sleep.
i've been known to trot downstars two or three times to double check. i always turn off/lock things 'automatically' without thinking, but it always makes me paranoid that i've forgotten. i've got halfway home from work, turned around because i thought i'd left the window open. (i handn't)

I always turn off my light and
then open the window, but it has to be in that order because I hate moths
Then I stumble my way into bed

Wow, I'm just like that! It really wastes a lot of my time going back to check things "just in case". For some reason as time goes by an extremely strong image of - e.g. the oven not being on - forms in my mind and I just have to go down and check. Even worse are things where you can't "go back" to double check, for example did you sign out of your personal accounts when using a public computer - it leaves things preying on your mind forever!

I can't believe that i do exactly the same sort of things .I NEVER go out or go to bed and leave my SKY Plus box plugged in

.I check and double check everything is switched off and locked .Why do you think we do this rather stupid routine ?My mates don't realy give a shit about all that sort of stuff i find myself even saying to people in their own houses if i'm round and we go out oh unplug your tv .

Eh, isn't the whole point of Sky plus to record things when you are not in ?

It's an irrational fear, the way to look at it is think of all the times you are in the house with the Sky Plus box on. How many times has it caught fire ?

Bed darling? You ready for our Bedtime Routine?
Before you go to bed at night
the evening's not yet through
It ain't enough just switching off
here's what you have to do...
TV sets should be unplugged
last thing every night
fire can start in unexpected ways
so switch off all the fires at night
they could set your home alight
fires can start in one of many ways...
Get a routine, show your intentions
fire prevention, fire prevention
check and make sure, you close every door
we mean, your life could depend on your bedtime routine!
Put out your cigarettes, put a guard around the fire
fires can start in oh so many ways...
Get a routine, show your intentions
fire prevention, fire prevention
check and make sure, you close every door
we mean, your life could depend on your bedtime routine!
How's your bedtime routine?
