YES!
Thank god it's not just me. Was beginning to think I'd been cut off.
Can't send messages or get voicemail. Not sure if it's just a regional issue. Annoying though.

No problems with mine up here.
The company I work for are shifting back to Orange around the start of next month, and while I can't say I've had a bad service with Vodaphone, I prefer Orange.
Sorry to digress.

i live in norfolk, near kings lynn purpleduck.
i was going to cancel my voda contract too, and to be fair this is probably the first time its gone belly up that i've noticed in the 3 years i've been with them - i even wrote them a letter saying i wanted to cancel and somebody called me up saying i was an 'important customer' (probably because i've probably spent £30 on games during the course of my contract) and gave me a 1000 messages a month and 150 minutes (i send many more texts than i call people) for 25, so i stayed with them.

Ah - might be a regional thing Dr L....as I'm in Norwich.
I've found the service, til now, has been pretty good - their billing department however is another matter!
Hope it gets sorted soon. Fancy ruining my textual flirtations. The swines.

It's all been okay all day in glorious Wiltshire. I'm normally hosted on the Vodafone Almondsbury (north Bristol) exchange when I'm on an 01380 (Devizes) cell, though I occasionally get handed off to an 01672 (Marlborough) cell, which is hosted on the Vodafone Newbury exchange.
Almondsbury was being re-booted at regular intervals last Sunday afternoon and I kept getting breaks in service, but all's been well since then.
The Sunday afternoon re-boots MIGHT indicate a software upgrade is doing the rounds, but it's very unlikely they'd be doing that sort of thing on a Wednesday.
Did you ring customer services (07836 191 191) from a landline?

Are you really Vodafone's longest-signed-up, most-loyal customer? You must get a lovely loyalty discount!

No, but I've been with them for over twenty-one years.
The network went live to the public on 1st May 1985, though, I think, some Racal-Vodafone employees were on service prior to that.
I joined on 15th May 1985 and had the 445th transportable telephone. I don't know how many fixed, in-car phones had been fitted by that date.

I've just switched to Vodafone from O2, and I have to say I'm very impressed with the service. When I call customer services I get put through to someone straight away. No more listening to that horrible underwater o2 hold music for literally hours on end!

I was a bit of a mobile network whore for a while... I'd just switch networks every year, port my number across, and take out the highly beneficial packages available to new customers.
My overall feelings were...
Vodafone - Good coverage, no major complaints.
Orange - Good customer service, very patchy coverage outside urban areas.
O2 - Awful customer service, average coverage.
BT Mobile - Good coverage - usues the Vodafone Network, but is much cheaper. Customer service is a bit pants though. Still with them now and reasonably happy.
T-Mobile - Never bothered given it's on the old One 2 No-One network, and I've never heard anyone with a good word to say about their coverage.
3 - see T-Mobile.
There.
