This seems to have mixed feelings amongst my pals. I'm talking about Robbie Williams' new single. I've got to say now it's grown on me i'm quite liking it. Most of my mates hate it. Just wandering what your thoughts are on his change of direction. I think he has the potential to be the male Madonna. He's experimental and it is really working for him. I'll buy his new album.

Ever since he stopped working with the guy who co-wrote most of his songs, Guy somebody, his work has declined severely.
His last great single, imho, was "Rock DJ".

I think Robbie's gone up his own arse recently. He's embarassing to watch live as well, he thinks he's still the megastar he once was but is no longer. It all went downhill when Guy Chambers stopped writing his songs, some of his earlier songs are fantastic (Lazy Days, Angels, pretty much all of his first 3 albums in fact) but now, his songs simply don't interest me.
I'd rather watch Judge Judy on ITV2.

he can come up my arse anytime .... Only kidding!
The worst album he's ever put out is swing when you're winning.
My fave song by him is tripping. I can relate to it on many levels.

Indeed, although I'd perhaps suggest "Feel" was his last track of note. It seems to be quite a mid-career crisis, the recent material totally lacks appeal.
