Irritating Sky Weather Girl..

I was thinking of planting this over in TVF but i wouldn't want to lower the tone.

Ole chunky calves doing the forecast on live at 5 decides to stand infront of the east of the map while giving the forecast for that area then plots herself infront of the west of the map while giving the wests forecast. I like to see the weather graphics for my area, it's important to me. She is a useless weather girl, whoever she is, who is she? The heat must be getting to me, i'm getting irritated by the slightest little thing at the mo.

I might even start a thread whinging about BT and then another one about Thanet council/ Thanet Parking attendants ( Bastards) then another about Dial up and one about how wonderful AOL are if i didn't have to wait 2 weeks to reactivate Broadband. The 2nd time this year.

Now that would be Francis Wilson. Don't like him either. Nor that Lisa " i wash my hair everyday" Burke. Some of the others are good but they seem to be mainly resingned to the interactive section.
Don't like Sian Lloyd either but she hangs out at ITV.

Can't beat the BBC for a weather forecast though.

Sometimes you get the impression that Francis Wilson does not posess any mirrors. He often looks a mess and you get the impression that he's leaning on the map.

Still, at least he's not wearing the Breakfast Time sweaters.

Unless it is the BBC Weather website

Case in point - have a look at the 7pm forecast for Norwich here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/24hr.shtml?world=0024

and scroll to 7pm here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/east/rain.shtml

Notice that on the 24 hour forecast it says it'll be sunny at 7pm, but on the chart it says it will be raining at 7pm. It is always inconsistent like this. It makes you wonder why they bother.

Sky News Active's regional weather is completely useless for anyone in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, mainly due to the fact they completely miss out our region.

Agreed, the BBC Weather website is a mess. Much of it is generated automatically, resulting in the recent tropical storm symbol for Belfast and 188 degree nighttime minimum in Leeds. We had -99 over much of the country not that long ago as well.

If you go to the text summary which is written by a real living human, or the Atlantic pressure charts which are always prepared manually, you'll get a better idea of what's going on.

Try seeing what the weather's like in Northern Ireland on Sky's flyaround. It appears to be from a perspective of about 10 degrees up, somewhere off Cork.

Is Francis Wilson goosing someone at SN? or has he got a life contact?

Hes almost as bad as Jamie at presenting.

From his dialogue I get the feeling he's got an inferiority complex. The way he drops technical terms in that'll mean nothing to the average viewer seems to cry "I've got a meteorology qualification! I'm worthy!".

Not a fan!

Francis Wilson?

Last time I saw him was on Breakfast Time from the BBC.

He used to wear the Val Doonican jumpers.

Is he one of the people who you can't see behind all those captions on Sky News, now, then?
