When clicking on those Mailto links, my PC will bring me to Outlook Express. Now that is very sweet, but I've now transferred vritually everything to Hotmail. So here's the killer hook:

Is there a way of opening Hotmail when you click on an e-mail link?

There is indeed. Open up IE, go into internet options, click the programs tab and in the email program bit, choose Hotmail.

all this aside, why do Yahoo and Gmail not have some way to hook into IE's settings in the same way that hotmail does?
