Now I know you lot are not the biggest football fans, but surely this cheating, bad sports man does not deserve to win this award pure and simple.

I got this in an email a short while ago:
Please circulate freely

There is a very real danger that Cristiano Ronaldo will be voted the fans'
best young player at the World Cup despite his pouting, diving, pretty boy
antics designed mainly to get himself a lucrative transfer to Real Madrid
and thus avoid the good kicking he deserves from Wayne Rooney at Manchester
United training.

He is currently 1st in the FIFA voting just ahead of Luis Valencia of
Ecuador. Please can everyone go to:

http://edit.fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/e ... ame=500062

and do the decent thing by voting for Valencia. It doesn't matter who
you support or if you haven't seen them play, just stop Ronaldo. Takes 30
seconds...You know it makes sense!!!!

Current standings

Player Voting Percentage Individual Votes
Cristiano RONALDO (POR) 27% 210290
Luis VALENCIA (ECU) 25% 195377
Lionel MESSI (ARG) 15% 114978
Lukas PODOLSKI (GER) 7% 54093
Wayne ROONEY (ENG) 3% 29075

Please pleas please vote!

I think we should all vote for dear old Ron.

Vote early and vote often, as they used to say in Northern Ireland.

After the way Mr Crotch-Stamper treated him while the referee was trying to wave the red card, he deserves all the votes we can give him.

As I said in another thread, ban the crotch-stamper for ten or twenty years.

You should know that my judgement on such matters are swayed by handsomeness of individuals therefore i shall vote for Ronaldo :P ... Wish i was 21 again. I still wouldn't fancy being him when/if he returns to United, he is going to get a terrible reaction from fans. If he's got the backbone to shrug it off and play a good game then he will definately have my backing.

He's got a rubbish haircut though, looks like a greased mullet! Not the fish, either.

Maybe i should relocate to Manchester. It would be a tough job running my fingers through some handsome, young footballers hair.

Yes, I suppose you never know what you're going to find in the middle of it!

How long before some TV Forumer reminds you that it's on a footballer, I wonder?
