A plea of sorts

I know that some people on this forum will not like me for this, but it seems to me as if certain individuals (not just here, anywhere in general) just do not like anything at all. I'm using the person on Amazon.com called "John Q. Public" as an example - just about every single review (not all, mind, but nearly all) is 1 star, and he always tells everyone to get a life or stop moaning or something similar.
It is, in my opinion, depressing when people are actually trying to do a very good job, and all people like him can do is just say that all they will do is rubbish. Granted, some people do not do a decent job and deserve to be treated as such, but to do this in such a general manner is snobbish and tragic to me, and it makes me wonder what certain people DO like (that is not meant to be a prompt for anyone to say what they like by the way!).
And I'm well aware that this is a post that is just ripe for criticising or whatever, but I'm asking without any intention to offend, annoy or upset, that people could be, I don't know, a little less cynical or sarcastic or just plain harsh? This is not a demand obviously, and I know many will continue as they currently do, but as a teenager who is very careful of what I say - because of the reaction of whoever is on the receiving end - I just wish people might be, well, nicer, I guess is what I'm saying.
Sorry, genuinely sorry, for such a lengthy post. But I would like to hear your views on this. Thanks.
Glenn

No no, I'm not leaving. I just wonder if people might be nicer around here. Sorry, it's really difficult to just put into words, and what I just said seems harsh or uncalled for in itself, but sometime I just wonder what it is that I have to do to please some people. I'm not referring to any specific examples, but I mean in general, it seems extremely difficult to cater for anyone's tastes anymore.

The problem usually isn't anything to do with people being nasty, it's other people's lack of a sense of humour, you tedious cretin.

Only 5? You've had at least 10 usernames Jamez!

This is the sort of thing I don't like - and I know that wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but often when expressed in written text, the joke is lost and it appears to turn into spite.
Sorry, if this makes no sense, do ignore, delete or do whatever. Just trying to be polite.
Oh, and I'm not a repressed homosexual either!

Well, yes a little unwelcome, but I've been reading a lot of these posts already and, forgive me for being ignorant or naive, but I sort of miss a lot of the humour.
However, my original post was also a general comment on how people seem insanely critical about everything. It's as if they do not like a single thing, and it makes it very hard for people to be less stressed or unhappy if people keep slating them for no good reason.

Well yes it easy to see how you miss the humour. Some people are never happy unless they're moaning. Quite a few of my friends and family are like that. They do nothing but criticise. It's just human nature.
I'll be the first to welcome you then, i like it when new people sign up and post.

99.99% of people take everything that is posted on here with a large shovel of salt. Thats why I like it around here, its funn to take the pi*s out of people and most of the people on here are actuly very witty (apart from you Jamez

)
If you get upset about what you read in forms, sorry mate your going to hvae a nervous breakdown before yor next birthday. Alot of forums are very nasty places full of fanboys and where if your opinion does not agree with thier pre concived ides you are of course wrong for all sorts of twisted and obscure reasons.

(For those that are not cultured its the song from the Hovis Ad with the boy on the bike.)
I remember a time when the internet was a prue beast, when people on the BBS´s had only pure intentions and porn was created from ASCII.
