I've been to two of my own, but only wore a top hat for the first one.

Mind you, I couldn't keep up the seriousness till the end, so DID insist on a card saying "In this style 10/6d" in the hatband for most of the photographs. That was probably the beginning of the end, as it went down like a lead balloon with 'er-in-law.
