I see many a person using this in posts. I haven't a clue whaat it means. Could someone please tell me.

No good throwing them at Mr Google as he just points you to millions of fora where they've been used.

BTW, WTF is it that makes people use so many of these abbreviations nowadays? It's not like SMS - I mean, bandwidth is not exactly limited...LOL 8)

I blame Prince myself Tim.I can't be bothered to do my research but i recall a song that went someththing ... 4U and he used to abbreviate a bit IIRC not to mention the symbol bullshit.

Problem I have as an English graduate and pedant is that too many people online seem to combine this abbreviated speech with txt spk

That, at least, is something people on here seem to avoid in the main

and msn has a language all of it's own too. What with all those hearts, lips and roses etc.

On the subject of MSN - I hate people who replace words with an animated version of the same thing, it's SO ANNOYING.

Plus, Windows Live Drivvel (MSN8) is so frickin' slow and clunky. I HATE it.

There's a new version out (released earlier this week). Sign-in takes 15 seconds max.

Much faster than previous versions and it's quite sexy aswell.
