Let me tell you about mine...!
It began at 4.40am with breakfast in bed, the bloke had to get up early for work. I managed to doze back off at about 6am. Awoke again about 10am with a mission to sort my internet access out...
Rewind to Thursday... Phoned BT to clear an outstanding bill and to tell them i'm no longer interested in having a land line i just need the line for broadband and internet access. 11.30pm that evening all internet access is lost!! Called BT to reconnect my line, they tell me it will be connected by the morning.
Friday spent ringing AOL to tell me that as BT have disconnected me, i need to reorder AOL broadband, which i'm told will take 7-10 days. Check to see if i'm reconnected, alas i'm still disconnected.
Saturday.
Another call to BT Hurrah! I'm reconnected by 11am i also discover i don't need to reorder broadband or need AOL to contact BT to prepare my line for broadband i can ask BT myself and they'll do it within 48 hours.
Stiill can't get access to internet via dial up.
Sunday.. was spent doing system restores, adding locations and editing numbers inbetween helping the bloke unload paving slabs from the van for the new patio he will eventually get round to doing. Got fed up and vowed to admit defeat and cal AOL technical advice in the morning...
TODAY bank holiday!!!.. It's raining dogs and frogs, and the everso helpful foreign person at AOL probably based in Dubai gives me step by step guide to getting on-line. After about an hour i've scribled his instructions on 2 pages of A4. I have little faith seeing as i couldn't understand much of what he was saying. But yeehaa< i'm back online albeit on dial up but i should have broadband back by tomorrow.
And that was my boring bank holiday, i managed to squeeze in a bit of housework and do a bit of shopping.
How have you lot spent your bank holiday?
