Strange choice for the Revolution but I quite like it. Its also easier for the Japanese to say. (they cant pronounce Revolution very well apparently)

As in " we."
While the code-name "Revolution" expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer.
Wii will break down that wall that separates video game players from everybody else.
Wii will put people more in touch with their games . and each other. But you're probably asking: What does the name mean?
Wii sounds like "we," which emphasizes this console is for everyone.
Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii.
Wii has a distinctive "ii" spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the image of people gathering to play.
And Wii, as a name and a console, brings something revolutionary to the world of video games that sets it apart from the crowd.
So that's Wii. But now Nintendo needs you.
Because, it's really not about you or me.
It's about Wii.
And together, Wii will change everything.

They say having a hand held controller for Wii that you wave around is a new innovation. I, however, disagree!

That's a piss-poor name for a games console.

I'm sure once they splash it around a bit it'll be accepted though.

Yeah, I've been looking around, I think I'll be having a Wii come autumn.

It seems the most interesting of the consoles.

Regardless of it saying its "we" In my head Wii is coming out a "Why Eye" as in the thing north people are supposed to say.

Love the logo, the name needs to settle with me though.

It was the same with the GameCube, that was known as Dolphin, before it was christened, and it took me a while to accept the new name...

I've never been into computer games, or computer consoles. The last time I had a games console was a Sega MegaDrive II. It had Sonic 3, Bubsy (some game programmed by some people who were obviously under the influence) and a Tetris-esqe game with different coloured jewels.

Before that I had a Game Boy (the original one) and played Super Mario on it.

At the moment I'm quite addicted to Sims 2. One or two metropol members are currently living in my village!

You make your village sound like a hole
