A lead...ing question

Just wondered if anyone perhaps could help out with this - looked on all the usual websites such as Studio Spares and Maplin but can't see anything obvious...

I need a lead with a minijack on one end to output audio from my laptop...and on the other end I need a pair of two standard jacks to plug into a mixer.

I've got just about every lead apart from this particular one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have no idea.

But I would like to offer my congradumulations for such an incredible thread title!

Thank you very much DAS, you've made my lead worries diminish. But let us not get too sidetracked - a pub quiz depends on it!

Are we talking a stereo Y splitter or left and right "mono" 6.3mm jacks?
I don't have the mixer with me at the moment, but I believe if you just have one standard jack it will output mono - and if you plug in the pair then you'll have stereo.

Though I can't be sure.

PM me your address and I shall post one to you. I may have to have an engineer make one but hey, I'm the boss.

One of those?

Or did I misunderstand?
That looks like the kind of thing - though would the two "mono" leads just give mono overall?

I'm a bit blind without the mixer or the manual.

EDIT: Just found the specs on the internet and it's a pair of 1/4" jacks - if you only plug one lead in the top (L) means it will output stereo, but if the bottom (R) one is used it will output stereo.

Does that help at all?

This isn't that far from my specialist subject, but you've confused me. Show us the mixer spec online.

I've always had a way with words!!

The manual is here:

http://www.behringerdownload.de/UB-Mixe ... ternet.pdf

Obviously I'm not interested in the Mic inputs (well I've got them sorted...) but it's the inputs with the jack inputs over on the right hand side (Line 9/10 11/12 etc etc)

It's the UB2222FX in the manual.

I'd like a lead to connect my keyboard to a can of coke but with an extra output to go to a tub of hairgel. Could you have one of them made too?
