A few weeks ago my usual home computer started playing up. What it does is, whenever I start up or attempt to run explorer.exe, there's a window pops up telling me that it has encountered a problem and it has to close. Fair enough, so I ignore that message and it works fine [but cannot open any of the explorer files and no desktop] but if I click close then attempt to re-open explorer.exe from the task manager, above process repeats. Would anyone be able to tell me what's going on?
BTW all other aspects of the computer are running fine. Recently had a huge spyware/adware/virus clearout.
Also, if it's any help, it started when I attempted to open a "sky news swoosh" file that was uploaded on TVF a few weeks ago.
Computer Problems.... Again
Yeah, that was a virus!James H wrote:

It will wipe your entire system unless you take action now!

That'd be the one one that I posted then in the requests forum. I've checked it and there's no problem with it. It certainly has no ill effects on my machine.James H wrote:A few weeks ago my usual home computer started playing up. It must be something to do with the spyware/adware/virus clearout that you had because if you have tons of it that likes to wrap itself deep into the system, removing them is bound to cause problems. If you had that much crap on your system I would recommend you just scrub it completely and re install Windows.
