Sony Walkman Mobile problems

Got this lovely piece of kit this morning. Sadly 14 hours later I'm still pulling my hair out.
Transfer MP3s using data cable. Safely remove devise. Half songs missing/corrupted. Tried everything.
Anyone had similar troubles/got any tips. Yes I've tried the Sony website. Yes it is useless.

Are the ones that aren't showing using strange encoding like non-fixed bitrates?
If it's not that not then get a proper mp3 player

Hmmm, I'm having the same problem too, Rod. I thought I'd just not done it properly till I saw this thread from you and I put two and two together.
It doesn't help that the Disc2Phone software is shite!

I know! I thought at first it was because I'm on a Mac and simply transfering the files was not good enough. But having tried the same on a mates PC, and Disk2Phone which is utter shite, I've still made feck all progress.
