The demise of pleasant avatars

Has no-one else become aware that the boom of avatar pictures which eroded the paranoia of the forum a few monthgs back has receded at an alarming pace in recent weeks?

Not only this, but the the days of pleasant avatars - such as miss hellfire's - seem to be over, and replaced by a torrent of terrifying ones - such as Dusty Jacket's and certainly Bones'. Jamez's current avatar, while not especially fear-inducing, reminds me of a 95% dehydrated Mick Hucknell!

So I beg of you, darling metrolovelies - bring back the nice avatars!

That latest one from Cardiff Bay is actually, c@t, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm sure I remember it from my early days as keeper of the TVF photo album.

And as for that bloke over on the left at the moment, well, yes, he's about as scary as you can get, with the possible exception of people who wear radiators on their heads!

Mine's more or less stayed the same for about a year now.

It would be nice for more members to have avatars; however I should probably remind users that avatars should be face pictures only, and of the *actual* forum member.

That means Ison, Jamez and James Hall all should replace the ones they currently are using.

Otherwise I'll end up with a postbag of complaints as to why member's can't have another type of picture of choice there.

As always, your co-operation is most appreciated, gentlemen.

Aww thanks! This one makes you look like Tracey Barlow, with nothing that that implies!

Oh bugger!

Sorry, Gavin, I'll try to find one without a wine glass intruding. Might be difficult, though.

Is that what that is?

I thought it was a dangly earing, but I didn't like to say.

I thought you were holding a finger aloft, rather like Hitler when he made speeches!

Peasants! The pair of you. Do you not know a wine glass when you see one, albeit half a wine glass, but, i don't believe in such measures.

I'm having great difficulty here, I'm afraid.

I've gone back over thirty years, but only the colour of the wine changes and the container is a bit more down-market.

Oh, yes, and the jumper's pretty naff; it was knitted by 'er indoors number one, no wonder I traded her in!
