If your computer died...

If your computer was suddenly hit by lightning right now ( lets just say the hard-drives would be fried, circuits melted etc.) what would you be most gutted about losing forever?
Me...

The vast collection of songs I've downloaded and ripped

My 3GB of internet porn movies

My 20GB of dowloaded shows like The Simpsons, Family guy etc.

My work (production music, sfx, dry voiceovers etc.)

The 25MB of Metropol/TV Forum pisstakes over the years

My Photos folder featuring pics of naked ex-girlfriends

The nicked & installed software I have such as PS, Flash, Audition, Cakewalk, ProTools
How about you?

After several experiences like the one you describe, I've found that almost everything - apart from the most personal things - is recoverable if you start your downloading again.
Personal pictures and creative work is impossible to replace, so that should be the thing you back up.
Software, porno and music is all out there waiting to be found on the net.

Of course if you have it all backed up then you wouldn't worry about losing it.
I have a desktop and a laptop, which back each other up, and an external hard drive as another back up.

You're not a stupid bastard yourself then for not backing it up?

Actually that was a backup hard drive. It had all of my data on iy without having to save all my things onto a disk when reformatting.
I'm only 13, why can't Microsoft be more clearer?
Never mind

Why can't you be clearer more like?
You're only 13? Big deal.
I'm only 14, I built the tower I'm using now and I build PC's for friends and family for money.

I think that comma makes it look funny. Perhaps it's all this time off getting to me.

I know about IT, but not the technical stuff. Stupid British schools only teach kids how to use Word and how to make charts.
