I actually wanted a good friend to leave on Saturday evening so I could take my clothes off and lie on the couch naked in an attempt to cool down.

That's how hot I was.

So how's by you?

You could have taken your clothes off whilst your friend was still there, and then they'd have probably left. Two birds - one stone!

Nah that would have made him uncomfortable, and I'm all about making other people happy, me.

Luckily for me the parents were in London for the whole day on Saturday, but luckily for everyone else I managed to keep me bits and pieces covered. The heat was almost unbearable, but only almost. It has been worse...

The thunder has reached the arse of the UK now, its probably the most violent-sounding storm we've had for a while. As much as I love a good flash and bang, I've not had enough of the sun yet.

I love the heat and i've not been too uncomfortable, except for when i'm in my car, i'm not too fond of leather interior with this kind of heat.
I'm lucky that i can keep my salon cool so i wasn't too uncomfortable on Saturday, the only drawback was,the breeze coming through kept blowing the hair cuttings onto my face.
Most of Sunday was spent suffering a hangover and whinging to my bloke about the state of the garden.

Today i have a day off and got up bright and early to get a Mcdonalds breakfast which was really YUK!! ( i should have looked at Dr Lobsters pic in the mobile moments thread). Then announced to the bloke that i was off to homebase to buy a sun lounger. As i was heading to the checkout i saw a gift for my bloke, a strimmer and it's only 20quid.
I got home showed my fella the lounger, who frowned when i told him it cost £20 more than i said i would spend. Next came his prezzie, he looked at it, looked at me and smiled then said " well, off you go then, you've been whinging for long enough". So it looks like my plan to get him to sort the garden has just backfired and i'm going to have spend the Afternoon strimming the garden. I'm sure he'll help me by sitting in MY lounger and shouting out words of advice from time to time.

I think I read that slightly fast. The m's sort of blended into p's so I thought you'd bought him a stripper.

We had to play tennis today and it was absolutely awful with the heat. I feel sorry for all the players down in Wimbeldon.

I actually filled a sink with cold water and stuck my head in it... and then I realized I can use it to cool myself off...
