Anyone have anything to say about this?
I'm cool with it. The prosecution got what they wanted, a full trial, and now they have to take it and accept it.

Take this thread back to TV Forum. I was hoping to see Metropol as a Jackon free zone!

Yup. Mind, we have the likes of Loopy Lord Hutton presiding over things in this country!

It's the first time I've ever agreed with Simon Luxton. Good God.
I can't believe it, surely the guy needs sectioning for being a plain and utter head-case.

Come on sweet-pea, you are just begging for a "glass-houses" type comment.
Now I have to admit something clearly stinks in the Jackson household. The alcohol charges I thought weren't in any doubt; so I don't know what to make of it.
But I'd sooner back up a "Jackson Innocent" verdict that agree with the sanctimonious ramblings of Luxtor.

What glass houses Gav? I don't think I live on a fairground believing that I'm a kid who will never die for a start.
As I said on TVF: Peado or not, he needs help. But with his sort of money he can buy in stuff to "black" it out so to speak, so will never ultimately get help to allow him to get himself together.

So you don't think he's fucked up in the head then?
I'm all for him doing it, but I worry it's at the danger of others.

Too right he needs help, the whole being a child Peter Pan thing went to his head too much. Hopefully this Trial has sent a message to him to sort himself out so he doesn't get into the same deep shit again. OK he will never ever be NORMAL but he has to change his lifestyle, spending habits etc etc.
I was expecting him to be Guilty on at least one or two charges.

No, but in our limited internet world there has been a perceived understanding that you are "a mental".
It's not the case patently, but once an image has been created it becomes easily to assign the "menal" tag to anything you might say or do. Do you understand what I'm getting at here?

The "black" thing is an odd issue to raise at this juncture, so I will ignore it.
I've said to friends and colleagues (water cooler chat, if you will) that Jackson is wrong to bleat on about a "missed childhood". At 46 years old he should have come to terms with it by now. And frankly, his childhood was pretty exciting by anyone's definition - whether he took a whipping from his father or not.
But none of us can know what he is like in his private moments, and many of the comments are of an intelligent gentle man. Not a bad thing to have said about you. I wonder how odd our lives would be if we had all the money and status as he and lived in the public gaze.
Having children sleeping in your bed is inappropriate and inexcusable.
But if you didn't ever abuse a child then you shouldn't go to jail for it.
We may yet find out the truth of this; but not today.
