I'm not sure if this is possible, i've done a good google and am wondering if:

i can make a webpage which periodically uploads the same file every 30 seconds etc.

I want to make a webcam to save a picture locally and upload it using php with a browser window running in the background, there are some technical reasons why i can't do this via ftp.

is this possible, and if so, how would i do it?

I'm willing to bet it needs to be something done on the client side. If you can find a form that auto-submits after an interval you're half way there. I shall keep an eye out.

If you're running winXP then the webcam Timershot powertoy might be a good starting point, get it at the bottom of http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx

I have always found Conquer Cam a good program for that sort of thing.
