I'm not surprised that Index is closing. The catalogues have carried the same range of stuff for years. Argos always seems to have new lines and a fresher look to it's catalogue every time one comes out.

Yes Index in Ilford was always quite shoddy. The women in there used to where dresses which looked to me IMO like mid 80's curtains.
In the case of Rover \ MG I think MG may survive but Rover is over (excuse the pun

) Luckily i have that old Rover car bdage form late 70's/early 80's. I wonder how much it will be worth in future???

Gadget Shop has bitten the dust too.
The company went into administration in March with the closure of 10 stores. Administrators could not agree with the terms of two possible buyers and it was announced on Friday 15th that the whole chain will close down.
Gadgetshop.com also closed in March.

Sad to see Gadget Shop go

and for Index, they copy Argos if you ask me.

Gadget Shop's problem was overpricing. £25 for a Munkeh, too much.
