I saw a baby pigeon a couple of months ago, in a nest under a bridge on the River Medway in Tonbridge...

What's the point of an 'eject' button on a remote control when you still have to get up to take the thing out?

Sorry, I know I've used it before, but my favourite is still "What's another word for thesaurus?".

Going slightly off that, what's the point of standby mode for televisions and computer screens?

I've always noticed it takes just as long for a TV/computer screen to switch on when in standby as opposed to being switched off completely.

Why don't people just switch it off completely (that's what I do) ? :?

I used to see one occasionally when pidgeons nested on our balcony for a year or so and got a bit frisky. Some of them had the "Aww ... how cute" factor, whilst others were just plain ugly!

because it DOES start up faster (5 secs compared to 50 secs) and eveything is how you left it.
