Was watching Michael Howard stood at the platform just now behind a sign reading :

"ARE YOU THINKING WHAT WE'RE THINKING ?"

Well, I shouldn't imagine so, not even close

What an odd line, is this the Tories winning election slogan ?

Anyway, pointless poll time, which of the parties do you intend to give your vote to this time around ?

Labour, but with the full knowledge that Gordon will be running things very soon.

You are right re: the Tories strapline.

It just invites the answer "no"... and was duly thrown back at them during PMQs by Prescott.

As today has proved, they're still the nasty party, and a bunch of liars and old rich men.

If there is a General Election this year(however please remember that there doesn,t have to be one before July 2006 I think) then I hope that the Conservative Party wins it. Before he became Prime Minister Tony Blair said there would be no murder, no child abuse, no unemployment(7 million people are currently unemployed in the UK) and no homelessness. Well all these things have happened while Tony Blair has lived in number 10 Downing Street, so therefore the Labour Party should not be governing this country! Finally please understand that there are some scousers myself included that are fully paid up members of the Conservative Party.

Under the tories it ws 3 Million

There is alot less now!

Although Labour did things wrong The Tories are the biggest liars out there

Alot of people also forget Howard was part of both Thatchers & Majors Government, & Major privatised BR

The election is a funny thing. Most people I talk to say they wouldn't dream of voting Labour again. Yet they will probably win it anyway.

I think the Labour domestic agenda is okay. I have no reason to complain, i'm not being taxed out of existance yet. My shares are doing okay because the interest rates are being tamed as is inflation. I think it is fair to say that most people have not been as well of as they are right now and it is a far cry from horrendous inflation and unemployment of the last tory government.

However, in staying with Labour and in turn staying with Tony (albeit for the short term), we face the dilema of voting in a government that took us to a war that cost us more than we are ever likely to know. If we can look past that then yeah...labour rock!

I really don't think Tony told the nation that in under a decade he would entirely wipe out murder, child abuse, unemployment and homelessness... perhaps you read the manifesto incorrectly.

And voting Tory in Liverpool is... well, I was going to say like pissing in the wind, but it's more like doing it in a force 5 tornado.

I am amazed that people would consider voting for Howard when they look back at what they got rid of in 1997. Sleaze, lies, scandal, poor economic management, etc etc etc... and they want it all back.

The British public have such short memories.
