transferring video to dvd recorder

hi on saturday i brought a dvd recorder from dixons. it's working allright but i have got a tv video combi and i was wondering can i transfer from video to dvd or do i need a s-video cable? thanks!

you should be able to do it easily. I dont have a DVD Recorder, but I assume it would be like setting a VCR up with a TV. But I'm not sure about recording videos because your using a Combi.
If there's a video out port on your TV, like Svideo and your DVD recorder supports that, then yes, use an svideo cable.
