"Harry The Nazi"

Is it just me or is this just *not* newsworthy?
The ridiculous hysteria that the press seem to be in that I have seen no evidence of in the public today who mostly said "who cares, it was a tacky fancy dress party" is abusrdly over the top. The report I've just seen on fivenews was patheticly false "These jewish students are outraged" cut to three students pretendning to share a copy of The Sun who then make fairly low key comments saying it was a poor choice.
I really do not see the "news" in this story at all. Where is it?

There's definately a news story in it. You've got the 3rd in line to the throne dressed up as a nazi. Now, of course it doesn't deserve the level of coverage it's got, but it's certainly a news story. That said my angle on the on the story wouldn't be how offensive or in bad taste it is, it's how bloody thick Harry clearly is. Now I know that brains aren't in plentiful supply among many members of the royal household, but this stupidity really takes the german biscuit.

Agreed
I'm sure he was taking the piss out of them more than supporting them. Afterall Eric Cartman in South Park is dressed up as Hitler & does the salute.
Sure it may have been bad taste but it was afterall a fancy dress party.
BTW good to see it was THE SCUM sorry THE SUN were the ones to report, especially as they said the Royals should be left alone & how badly Diana was treated & then go ahead & do this.
This exactly why I don't buy this paper.
What made me laugh was Nicholas Owen on ITN asked what Prince Phillip would say, I know exactly what he would say:
"Bloody little bugger beat me to it"

My mate Jamie went to a party as Hitler. He can get away with it.
It will be easier for Harry in the long run if he makes decisions whilst not being a bit fucked.
God knows its not easy.

but hyma, you must remember that since most of the worlds media is ultimately jewish controlled, it is no suprise that this made frontpage and headline news.
in many ways though, hitler was a hero. a lot of his bad press has been down to jewish scholars rewriting history - the holocaust has been massively exaggerated for political means over the years.
hitler's eugenics program, had it been allowed to run its course would have purified the populus into hardworking individules, respecting authority.
allowing religion to become government controlled would, for the very first time, remove the need for a multi-cultural society, making the society as a whole more stable and eradicating political correctness. that has to be a good thing.
Heil Harry! Heil The Second Coming!

Well that's one way of putting it.
I think the version of Hitler we're taught in Scottish High Schools (at least mine) is a lot more complimentery than the "media Hitler".
The "Stab in the back" would probably make perfect sense to anyone in Germany throughout the interwar years and I'd have probably voted Nazi myself what with the economic problems and fear of bolchevism.
That aside it proves that, despite the supposed seperation of modern government and religion, most countries end up being controlled by religious fanatics, look at Isreal, look at America.

I don't get this story at all. I could see the reasoning behind someone going as Hitler, but I just don't get why he'd want to go as a Nazi?
Yes I'm going to a fancy dress party tomorrow I'll dress as a Nazi. I'm sorry but I can't say I've ever heard such a stupid idea.
As for the press. They need to just leave him and the other one alone. You can see I'm an avid follower of the royal family knowing all their names.

Now tell me if I'm speaking out of turn, here, but I've noticed from your time on this forum that you appear to be more than a little anti-semetic.
And believe it or not, I'm not against that - in fact, I'm all for open-mindedness - but only if it can be justified.
Can you describe why you appear to have a fundamental hatred for the jewish religeon?

Chris, I think Dr Siggy's post is slightly tongue-in-cheek.
I have always found it interesting though why the Holocaust has become essentially a disaster confined to the Jewish people, when there were, apparently, 5 million non-Jewish victims in addition to the Jewish victims. The only real answer I can find for this is the sense of solidarity and togetherness in the Jewish community (something which I think the rest of society could learn a lot from).

fair point. although does there become a point where solidarity borders on isolationist?
