as i have alluded in a previous thread, i am looking to purchase a fresh new fragrance for myself this chrimbo.

the ones i've had before (as recommended/purchased by girlfriends at the time) are: kuros body, lacoste red, lacoste grey, armani mania.

but i'd like something different, something fetching but not gag worthy. what would you fashion experts recommend?

I like Jean-Paul Gaultier's "Le Male".

I've used Chanel Pour Monsieur (EDT, not Aftershave) for a while now, and it still smells great.

Bit on the pricey side, but lovely nonetheless.

It just depends what suits your skin. I find that what smells great on some people smells awful on me. Try before you buy, don't go on recommendations.

I spent half an hour in boots spraying those fucking paper sticks to find a good smell... I suggest you do the same... how ever stupid you might look, if at all, its worth the fuss...

Also, I find the cheapest place for "Premium Stinky Products" is savers. Just so you know.

Apart from the recommendation that you shouldn't go on recommendations.

Oh dear, I've whirled my mind into some kind of paradox now!!

My head hurts.

That's so true. CK's Obsession on some blokes (and women) makes me go wild, but on me it smells of orange peel.

I'm a fan of Gaultier's Le Male, and rather happily got a new bottle this christmas.

I think it is due to the acid content of your skin, or something.

The one I can never make my mind up about is Joop.

It smells really warm and comforting... but at the same time reminds you of a shoe cupboard or an old carpet.

Fahrenheit by Dior is pretty nice, but it never lasts on me.
