TVFORUM PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR 2004
well as the year closes, another competition opens - the quest to find the tvforum personality of the year 2004. will the forum still be around this time next year? with nothing good on telly and with mary whitehouse's even more conservative great aunt asa moderating the forum, the future looks a bit grim. so lets look back and see who made an other wise dull, boring year on the forum, slightly better.
here are a few suggestions ...
could it be katherine and her one-woman pro-look hudson (sorry, i meant look north hull) campaign.
nick harveys outspoken criticism of the piss poor soderation at tvf.
andrew's never ending devotion to noting down who presented calendar east, calendar late and what-not
james hatts moral crusade for forum nice-ness and his commendable knowledge of who was presenting on the itn news channel, when, with who and from which studio.
anthony alldritt and his services to radio?
or could it be benjamin liftshaft and his all-encompassing website covering BOTH politics and itv1 - with added sections for itv2 and itv3

My vote goes to Meic Young. Who can forget his attempts to convince us all that he had "tits, a 3 year old kid and a red fiesta"...?

Yeah, easily Meic Young/A Circular Sunset or whatever he's called. Very entertaining young man.

Well I'm not entirely sure I would've made it through the year without Brekkie Boy's daily dose of personality sprinkled liberally around the place.
Apart from that I do remember this being a very good season for Mr Harvey.

Ben F Shatliff - definitely! He's made me really sit up and take notice of politics and Granada Reports all at the same time

And made stretched photos look GOOD.
But if I had to choose, I'd definately say it was James Hatts. What is a forum without a conscience after all, and James is there to remind us of when we're overstepping the mark and when there's a promo on the ITV News Channel.
His scanning of media publications both in print and online is relentless. He brings all the information that we need to know. I think he's one every single members wavelength. Also his recent addition of being able to bring pictures to the world has added a new element into the James Hatts experience, and one which I am eternally grateful...because sometimes words just aren't enough.
And I need never wonder about the lighting of studioes ever again.
THREE CHEERS FOR JAMES HATTS...
HIP HIP...

Why is everyone called James?
I'd say that although people's personalities conflict a lot of the time, each person's individuality also creates some funny and entertaining moments. There are good times and bad times. The bad times just seem to be a little more prominent, maybe because you're sort of all part of a family and subconsciously somehow you notice the arguments more. Some people are going to get on, some people are not. You may sometimes disagree on different stuff but that's fine, a lot of you can get over it and carry on without harbouring ill feelings.
So in a way, you
all deserve to be crowned TV Forum POTY, because you've all contributed in some way to creating this family.
However, Ben Shatlift
must get my vote. Although Jamez being sued almost done it for me!

His personality and the excrement he spiels certainly is a winning combination, innit?
My overall vote though, is for Meic Young, but a special mention must be made for "one2one" for his trumpeted speeches telling us about how he would overpower the forum and ruin us all, quite fantastic.

I too would vote for Semolina Sunrise.
The man who still lives at Mermaid Lodge, but tries desperately to tell everyone that he doesn't.
