Political Correctness gone mad!

Without beginning to sound more and more like the Daily Mail every day with my recent posts, I read today (not in the Daily Mail incidently) that a new school has had the name 'Saint Margaret's School' rejected as the 'Saint' bit of the name may offend Muslims. Whatever next?! Only the other week, we had another school banning the song 'When I'm 64' as the lyrics include the words 'Birthday greetings, bottle of wine' and Muslims (apparently) do not celebrate birthdays, nor do they drunk alcohol. For total political correctness gone mad, look no further than that tiny remote Scottish island, Balamory! What can we expect to see opening on there soon, just so every single school kid feels included? A hostel for single parent families run entirely by wheelchair-bound Asians?

Go to the real Tobermory and you'll probably find three old blokes in woolly jumpers fishing.

A colleage of mine said that at her young sons school they don't call it a Christmas Tree they call it "Tree of Celebration" because Christmas Tree has the word Christ in it
The funny thing is when you speak to most people from who supposidley these things are offensive to them, they say they don't find it offensive at all.
Bloody councils!

Metropolitans, I beseech you not to blame Muslims for this.
You know and I know it is the overly-sensitive PC brigade at local councils behind this sort of shite. Muslims call both Christians and Jews 'people of the book', meaning that their religion has respect for the Christians' and Jews' prophets as the Qu'ran is heavily based upon both the Torah and the Bible.
Resist those Daily Mail urges.

To bloody right. The fur tree was celebrated as a symbol of the winter solstice, long before the Christians pinched it. Who the hell do they think they are!
