i'm going away to dublin at the weekend for a few days, and have had a worrying thought: what kind of electrical plug fitting does southern ireland have? i know it's considered part of europe, and i know most european fittings are wierd, and i've never been before, and i really don't have a clue!

basically, will my winky waxing machine work in the emerald isle as well as it works in sunny norfolk?

and marksi, i will take you up on that offer, just make sure any extension lead you supply is three pinned and insulated.

Oooo... didn't even notice this 'til now. As Barrett said, plug is the same three pinned safety thingy plug here.

Points of Interest:

-Avoid most, if not all of North Dublin (well except the bitty of the city centre on the North Side).
-Prepare to be grossly overcharged on... mostly everything.
-The new trams only seem to have crappy *ting* *ting* *ting* bells, so be advised to LOOK BOTH WAYS
-Have a good time. Get pissed. etc...
