I have a very old, very slow Windows 95 PC from which I would like to transfer about 168 MB of things.

It doesn't have a USB port, nor a CD-R drive. Am I consigned to spending a weekend with a floppy disk, or are there any other options that you know of?

Data tanks? That's new to me.

If you can borrow an external zip drive with 100MB discs, you would be done in a jiffy. They have a serial connection.

You could shove in a network card and connect your new computer with the old one with a length of crossover ethernet cable.

Ta as well Chris although my old PC may well run away if I start networking it for the sake of 168 MB!
