Once every six months I, and I'm sure most others here, have the pleasure of lying on a rather awkward chair, with a bloke poking things in your mouth.

For some this must be sounding most pleasurable, but I am of course going on about the dentist. A charming bloke, unfailingly polite and desperately predictable.

I got an appointment tomorrow, and I'm sure, like the previous five years, his response will be "Very good Roweeeern, just keep brushing those back molaaaarzz".

Having said that I'm now going to have a bloody filling aren't I.

Personally, I brush twice a day. After breakie, and before bed. But I'm not too religious in regards to my choppers. Now for instance I've got a bowl of Fruit and Fibre (no milk) which I'm nibbling on, and I'm not going to be brushing my teeth again thank you very much!

So how often to you brush your teeth. Are you one of the excessive bunch who brush, floss and rinse after anything passes a single tooth, on the other extreme where you never brush your teeth (probably because they fell out years ago), or like me, somewhere in the vague middle.

Macleans for me, always in the morning, frequently last thing at night. I do floss, but not all the time, my gums are healthy but they are sensitive and bleed easily when I floss down near the bottom of each tooth :x

hmm, I only ever brush my teeth a night becuase it is way too much hassle in the morning. Plus, I brush with 24 hour tooth paste, to remove to evil funkyness off the corsodyl toothpaste.

And dad got some "Boots Smile Mouth Deoderiser" spray stuff today. it accidentally into his pocket whilst he was at work...

Brush my teeth twice a day usually. Never floss nor do anything else. Very rarely visit the dentist either (as in only if I'm in pain or for some other reason feel the need to go). Whilst I'm sure many will predict the imminant demise of my teeth because of this, they're still doing the job at present.

Once a day for me, every morning. I know thats not enough, but the habit of falling asleep before brushing has got the better of me so I don't worry about it any more.

Your breath probably stinks during the day then.

I blame Coca Cola and Pepsi for EVERYTHING now. I'm 19, nearly 20, and I've had but one filling for tooth decay, and the gaping hole that resulted came about after I took up binge drinking on Cola. Before that, and now again thankfully - I was very big on water. It really is fab and there must be something in it (in fact there IS something in it).

Why did I write this?

Coca-Cola is the most disgusting tasting substance in the world! Stick to hot Marmite. ;)
Usually brush twice a day but often forget in the morning. Basic toothpaste (often Whitening, not my choice, but I do share a bathroom and it does the job so not worth buying two) and always use a mouthwash (half a capful). Tried Sensodyne once or twice but it's expensive and tastes crap. ;) Mind you, it seemd to work as I don't have sensitive teeth anymore!

Always twice a day for me, for some reason at night it is something that I have to do otherwise it just doesn't feel right and I learnt that the other week, I went out into Warrington one Saturday night and got a wee bit drunk but when I got in I went straight to bed without brushing and when I got up the next morning and went to work I again didn't brush, I only realised later on and I could feel all the crap on my teeth and it wasn't a feeling I liked, but as soon as I got in I brushed them and from this I know it does have a good effect on the teeth. (Obviously)
