Can anyone please tell me how to resize a CD cover on my pc.

A mate of mine mailed me a cover but when i print it out it's far to large for the CD it's an A4 size .

I have tried and tried but can't seem to resize the image any advice would be most appreciated .

Thanks.

If you downsize the image in a software package to what looks correct on screen, when you come to print it the print-out willl look very pixellated.

Printers work at a much higher resolution (> 300dpi) than screens (72dpi); so when you downsize and lose all the extra pixels other than the ones essential to display the image on screen, you're losing ones that are essential to print the image.

Presuming you don't have Photoshop or something, it would still be a lot better if you could import the image into Word, and then downsize it using the handle on the bottom right-hand corner of the image until it measures 12cm on the rule at the side of the document. Then it'll have all the extra pixels to print, so hopefully you'll get a nice smooth image (especially noticable on the text).
