So I really enjoy chill-out music. Zero-7, Amon Tobin, Air, Caia, Isan (not to be confused with the far more fabulous Ison), Ulrich Schnauss, and Boards of Canada are all on my playlist.

I've also been known to dip into The Postal Service, The Future Sound of London, Magnet, Aphex Twin, and Norman Cook (in his various incarnations) every now and so often.

So tell me what I'm missing. Is there something new that I've just failed to pick up on? Is there something old that you can't believe that I've missed? Please tell me. I have work on Monday, and I'm dreading not having anything to listen to.

I tell you what, I have thousands of thousands of mp3s on my system ranging from Cilla Black (yes, I did say that) to Zero 7, and at the moment I've lapsed into this period of boredom. I'm usually listening or finding music of all types but at the moment it seems to have halted. No idea why. But I'm fully expecting to get back into it soon.

You seem to be into chillyouty alternativey electronicy stuffy, so I'd recommend Sia Furler if you like Zero 7. She was the main vocalist on Destiny, and her album takes a bit of getting into but once you're there, it's excellent. Unless of course you've been there, done that.

I would also recommend a very good but rather obscure Canadian outfit called Stars; their album is called Heart and is practically downloadable via their website thanks to streaming Real audio files.

No, but "Mr Tambourine Man" and "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" by William Shatner are!

Get a bit of 80s in your collection. Mine must be 2/3 from the electronic era and I never get bored...and you get some real classics coming round too. Everyone knows more 80s songs than they think.

Go forth, get some Nik Kershaw in your collection!

My Barry Manilow song is 'Somewhere Down The Road', which I do believe is actually an excellent song.

The Cheese Factor is also bolstered by 'Chances Are' by Bob Segar and Martina Mcbride, which again I rather like.

But yes, the 80s was by far the best decade for music.

Best Mike and the Mechanics song has to be The Living Years - a very haunting song but very very good as well.
